Dr. Harding is a native of Blount County and is happy to return to her hometown as a partner/practice owner and practicing veterinarian. She was born and raised in Greenback, TN on a beef and dairy farm where she first discovered her love of animals. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of TN with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.

Dr. Harding received her DVM from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Harding’s family includes her husband, Johnathan, two daughters, and two furry kids, Dot (Beagle) and Brody (Boxer mix). When away from the hospital, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family and friends.

Abra Osorio, DVM

Dr. Osorio “Dr O” graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She grew up in Lebanon, TN where her family had an abundance of horses, dogs, and cats which fueled her love for the veterinary profession. Her passions are in animal behavior and soft tissue surgery; although she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.

She has worked with several organizations providing veterinary care to underprivileged communities and hopes to continue this work in the future. Dr. Osorio lives in Maryville with her husband Cisco, their two cats Milo and Rowdy, and their goofy golden retriever Shiloh. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, and running half marathons.

Kelly Walker, DVM

As a six year old, Dr. Walker began pursuing a career in veterinary medicine by checking out and taking notes from animal books from the library. She also grew up in Kingsport, TN with dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and even the occasional squirrel. Dr. Walker is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

She is a lover of corgis and cats and has a special interest in clinical pathology and internal medicine. Dr. Walker lives in Maryville with her husband Luke and five fur children. They include two dogs – Dota (Boxer mix) and Lola (Corgi), and three cats – Rue, Binks, and Vader. In her free time, Dr. Walker enjoys good food, movies, and celebrating holidays with her extended family.


Ryan Jurgensmeyer, CVPM, LVMT

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician
Ryan grew up in Centralia, IL on a small beef farm. He showed Santa Gertrudis cattle for 15 year. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Animal Health Technology at Murray State University, and subsequently earned his masters degree from Murray State University as well.

He finished classes at St. Petersburg college for veterinary hospital management. He sat for his boards in the October 2014 to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. As one of the new owners of Maryville Small Animal Medical Center he strives everyday to make it the best veterinary hospital in Blount county. Ryan enjoys horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his wife.

Christy Doherty

Christy grew up in Maryville, Tennessee. She is a very happy, dedicated person, and has been a receptionist here since 1997. She has a wonderful husband since 1996 and together they have a beautiful daughter. Christy has always had a love for animals; currently she has one cat. In her free time, she enjoys watching her daughter play golf and spending quality family time with her husband and daughter.

Natasha Thomas

Receptionist
Natasha was born in Riverdale, Georgia; at the age of five she moved to Maryville and currently resides in Louisville, Tennessee. She has been married to her wonderful husband since 2003, and they have 2 beautiful children Kendall and Brayden. Natasha actually worked for the previous Animal Health Center for approximately 6 years. She left us after deciding to pursue other options and returned to us in 2010. After being gone she realized how much that she missed veterinary medicine and the clients, she has returned to fulfill her love for animals. She has two dogs, Patches (Shih Tzu) and Nala (American bulldog mix). She loves spending time with her family and playing softball.

Melissa Wilson, LVMT

Melissa grew up in Knoxville, TN and has lived in the area her entire life. She attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN to study Elementary Education. While in school, Melissa began working at a small animal hospital in Murfreesboro, TN as a veterinary assistant. During this experience she quickly discovered a passion for working with animals. After 3 years Melissa moved home to Knoxville to work for the University of TN College of Veterinary Medicine to continue her desire to work with animals while gaining a broader spectrum of knowledge and patient care. It was while at UTCVM she decided to further her education and become licensed as a veterinary technician. Melissa attended St. Petersburg College and obtained an A.S. in Veterinary Technology and was in Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, reading a great book, spending time with friends and enjoying life.

Kelly Lambert, LVMT

Kelly lives in Englewood, TN. She studied at Cleveland State Community College for two years and transferred to Lincoln Memorial University, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has dreamed of being in the veterinary field since she was 5 years old. She currently is married with two fur babies, Bell and Daisy. In the summer, she enjoys camping, swimming, and riding her motorcycle. In the fall, she loves to sit around a fire and eat home-made chili with family and friends.

Jenna Taylor, LVMT

Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician
Jenna grew up in south New Hampshire and her love for horses drove her to work with animals and veterinary medicine. She received her bachelor’s in Biology and Spanish at St. Lawrence University hoping to go on to vet school. After a year of working in a research lab, she decided to pursue a career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She received her Associate degree from Colorado Mountain College as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Jenna followed her then boyfriend to Knoxville while he pursues his PhD in Nuclear Physics at UT. Jenna and Steve recently married in May 2015 and are enjoying their newlywed life with the former clinic cat, Fluffy. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

Cat has lived in Blount County for several years, and has been working at this hospital since 2004. She began as a kennel technician, and is now kennel manager as well as a veterinary assistant. She loves working with animals and is very dedicated to her job here at MSAMC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, arts/crafts, doing anything outdoors, and spending time with her family. She has two beautiful twin daughters who usually keep her busy playing games, shopping, and going on all sorts of adventures together. She has a dog named Darla, 3 cats, and a guinea pig named Kevin James.

Jessica Wilson

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica has been a resident of Blount County for most of her life. She began working here in the spring of 2011 as a receptionist and now works as a veterinary assistant. She is a very dependable and hardworking individual. She is married with two children. They have a family cat, dog, fish, and mouse. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, swimming, and scuba diving.

Kathleen O’Mary

Veterinary Assistant

Kathleen grew up in Louisville, TN and currently lives in Maryville. As a child, her goal was to always have a career working with animals. Growing up she has several pets ranging from pocket pets to horses. It was her love and passion for animals which led her to complete her Associate’s Degree in Animal Science from Hiwassee College. She currently cares for her horses, dogs, cats, birds, and young daughter. Most of her time is spent caring for her beautiful daughter who also has a love for animals and enjoys helping with their care. When she does have spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, camping, fishing, kayaking, and activities with family, and family summer vacations. Her dream is to own a small farm at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains and maybe someday further her career in animal science.

Jason Wolfe

Veterinary Assistant
Jason grew up in a military family. He lived in North Carolina and Southern California before his Father retired and brought their family to Sevierville, Tennessee. Jason resided in Sevierville until he moved across the state for college. He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he attained a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture concentrating in Animal Science in December of 2014. Jason then returned to East Tennessee to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the University of Tennessee where he will graduate in 2019. He is interested in learning more about Surgery, ophthalmology, and neurology and is not sure what sector of veterinary medicine he will work in once he has completed his DVM. Jason recently married his college sweetheart Jessica. They currently live in Louisville, Tennessee with their dog Roxy. In their spare time Jason and Jessica love to watch movies, cook out with family and friends, go on walks with Roxy and travel.

Spencer Snelgrove

Spencer grew up in Greenback, TN and has a love for all animals great and small. She has worked primarily with horses, but always had a desire to work with small animals. In her spare time, Spencer enjoys going to the beach, going out with friends and spending time with her animals, including her horses and beloved pup, Evie.

Sarah Bryant

Sarah is from Louisville, TN. She joined out team in June of 2013 as a kennel assistant, and is now training as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. Sarah has always had a love for animals, but is currently attending Pellissippi State and applying for nursing school to pursue her dream of caring for other people. In her free time, Sarah enjoys camping, four-wheeling, fishing, anything involving the outdoors, and spending time with friends.

Carolyn Rathbone

Carolyn grew up in Maryville, TN. She has been at MSAMC longer than any other employee and has been a steady part of the family since 1988. Carolyn has a great love for animals and has a special gift for making all our boarding animals feel right at home. Carolyn enjoys spending time with her 4 dogs and 2 cats and her nieces and nephews.
